A Bit About Ezra
Ezra Lacina “Coach Ez” was born in Seattle and raised on nearby Vashon Island. A four-year letter winner in both baseball and football in high school (Class of 2014), Lacina we nt on to play collegiate baseball at Green River CC and Sterling College (NAIA), where Coach Ez was the primary catcher while seeing time on the mound and at first base.
Coach Ez graduated from Sterling College with honors in 2019, earning a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice Pre-Law. After college, he began his college coaching career as a volunteer assistant coaching at Sterling College – where he was promoted to Recruiting Coordinator just before the start of his inaugural season. Coach Ez then went on to a volunteer assistant position with Everett CC, where he was promoted to Recruiting Coordinator at the end of the 2022 season and then Associate Head Coach after the 2023 season.
Outside of his college coaching career, Coach Ez works with top-tier catchers in the aera and has also coached for Honda Baseball Club, Benz Baseball, The Cascade Collegiate League, Rijo/Elevate and PNW Fall Scout. Coach Ez has served as a catching/hitting instructor for City Baseball Club, Base by Pros in the past and now trains catchers at our Academy.
